The Museum of Everything

In collaboration with Iain McCaig, we have recently exhibited in The Museum of Everything.

The infamous Museum of Everything is a collection of the bizarre, the forgotten, the fantastical and the inconceivable, like our most venerated museums its objectd’ark has been beqnethed, found, filtched and snatched from the four corners of the globe and placed on public display for your precarious pleasures.

The curators wish you every falicitation for your visitation to the museum but do not accept responsibility for any loss of mental clarity forthwith.

MS Society

I recently worked with Darren Robbie (director/animator) at Aardman Animations on this ad to raise awareness of multiple sclerosis. I was the lead prop maker on this project.

Pirates!

I have just finished a placement at Aardman prop making for new feature film!

“Award-winning British animators Aardman are set to return to cinemas after a six-year hiatus with their first stop-motion film since Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Production is nearing completion on The Pirates! in an Adventure with Scientists, which is due to be released in March 2012.
Hugh Grant has been cast in the lead role – his first in an animated film – playing a captain attempting to win the pirate of the year award.
Peter Lord, the co-director of Pirates!, said: “Hugh Grant has given a stand-out performance – he combines an effortless on-screen warmth with brilliant comic timing.” Queen Victoria and Charles Darwin also make appearances, voiced by Imelda Staunton and David Tennant respectively.
The film is based on a comic novel by Gideon Defoe, who has also written the film’s screenplay. It marks Aardman’s first feature-film collaboration with Hollywood studio Sony Pictures Entertainment, after making three full-length films with Dreamworks.” Quote from guardian.co.uk

Raising the Titanic!

I have been working with Plunge Productions on a replica of one of the Titanic’s gigantic funnels (complete with seaweed and Limpets!) for the Titanic Artefact Exhibition at the O2. The 6.5m tall funnel was built-in eight sections in a 4m by 20m workshop in Brighton, then assembled at Canary Wharf. The funnel was then towed down the Thames as if it had been dragged from the sea after 100 years.

Featuring in several national newspapers including the Evening Standard and The Daily Mail, the photos look amazing!
